Mustangs show their support at the Afflicted War Heroes 5K!

We were so proud to show our support for our coach Jason Butterfield and the non-profit organization that he started. Afflicted War Heroes aides our troops who have been injured in battle zones. After being injured in Afghanistan last year while serving our country, Jason realized what a great need there was for this organization.

After a LONG and HARD week of tryouts our Mustangs welcomed in the first official day of practice by coming out and running this 5k (3.1 miles) as a team! Little did the boys know, this 5k was probably the easiest part of practice that day.
Although all the boys finished STRONG, congrats to Anthony Perschon and Hayden Norris for finishing 1st and 2nd place! If they were actually registered they would have taken first and second of the whole race in their age division.

Great run guys and awesome way to bring in the football season!!!
